Od listopada 2025 roku prowadzimy działania związane z upamiętnieniem Alicji Russak, mieszkanki przedwojennej Wschowy (niem. Fraustadt), ofiary Zagłady.
To dla nas ważny projekt – nie tylko symboliczny, ale też realnie przywracający pamięć o konkretnej osobie i historii społeczności żydowskiej naszego miasta. Kamień pamięci (Stolperstein) miał zostać umieszczony w miejscu jej dawnego zamieszkania – przy dzisiejszej ul. Poprzecznej we Wschowie.
Od początku działaliśmy zgodnie z procedurami:
– w listopadzie 2025 r. złożyliśmy pierwsze zapytanie i rozpoczęliśmy formalności,
– następnie, na bieżąco, uzupełnialiśmy wymagane dokumenty,
– ostatnie uzupełnienie zostało przekazane 5 lutego 2026 r., zgodnie ze wskazaniami Urzędu Miasta i Gminy Wschowa.
Pomimo tego, do dziś nie otrzymaliśmy żadnej odpowiedzi w trybie przewidzianym przepisami prawa. Złożyliśmy również ponaglenie na podstawie art. 37 Kodeksu postępowania administracyjnego – także bez reakcji.
Z powodu przewlekłości postępowania administracyjnego nie dojdzie do planowanego montażu kamienia zgodnie z europejską praktyką Stolpersteine. Musieliśmy odwołać zaproszenia m.in. skierowane do autora projektu Guntera Demniga.
Chcemy jasno powiedzieć: ta sytuacja nie jest wynikiem naszych działań. Projekt jest przygotowany merytorycznie i organizacyjnie – obejmuje dokumentację historyczną (m.in. potwierdzenie w bazie Yad Vashem), wskazanie lokalizacji oraz gotowość do realizacji i działań edukacyjnych.
To, co zatrzymało proces, to opieszałość administracyjna.
Nie rezygnujemy. Chcemy doprowadzić to upamiętnienie do końca – nawet jeśli będzie ono realizowane w formule lokalnej, społecznej.
Czekamy na dalsze rozstrzygnięcia ze strony urzędu.

Since November 2025, we have been carrying out activities related to commemorating Alicja Russak, a resident of pre-war Wschowa (German: Fraustadt), a victim of the Holocaust.
This is an important project for us – not only symbolic, but also one that genuinely restores the memory of a specific person and the history of the Jewish community of our town. The memorial stone (Stolperstein) was to be placed at the site of her former home – today at Poprzeczna Street 1 in Wschowa.
From the very beginning, we have acted in accordance with the required procedures:
– in November 2025 we submitted our initial inquiry and began the formal process,
– subsequently, we provided all requested additional documentation on an ongoing basis,
– the final supplement was submitted on 5 February 2026, in accordance with the instructions of the Municipality of Wschowa.
Despite this, to this day we have received no response within the timeframes required by law. We also submitted a formal reminder (ponaglenie) under Article 37 of the Code of Administrative Procedure – also without response.
Due to the excessive delay in administrative proceedings, the planned installation of the stone will not take place in accordance with the European Stolpersteine practice. We were forced to cancel invitations, including those addressed to the project’s author, Gunter Demnig.
We want to state clearly: this situation is not the result of our actions. The project is fully prepared both substantively and organizationally – it includes historical documentation (including confirmation in the Yad Vashem database), a defined location, and readiness for implementation and accompanying educational activities.
What has halted the process is administrative inaction.
We are not giving up. We intend to complete this commemoration – even if it has to be carried out in a local, community-based form.
We are awaiting further decisions from the authorities.

Seit November 2025 führen wir Aktivitäten zur Erinnerung an Alicja Russak, eine Bewohnerin des Vorkriegs-Wschowa (deutsch: Fraustadt) und ein Opfer des Holocaust, durch.
Dieses Projekt ist für uns von großer Bedeutung – nicht nur symbolisch, sondern auch als konkrete Wiederherstellung der Erinnerung an eine bestimmte Person und an die Geschichte der jüdischen Gemeinschaft unserer Stadt. Der Erinnerungsstein (Stolperstein) sollte an ihrem ehemaligen Wohnort verlegt werden – heute in der ul. Poprzeczna 1 in Wschowa.
Von Anfang an haben wir gemäß den vorgeschriebenen Verfahren gehandelt:
– im November 2025 haben wir die erste Anfrage gestellt und das formale Verfahren eingeleitet,
– anschließend haben wir die erforderlichen Unterlagen fortlaufend ergänzt,
– die letzte Ergänzung wurde am 5. Februar 2026 gemäß den Vorgaben des Amtes der Stadt und Gemeinde Wschowa eingereicht.
Trotzdem haben wir bis heute keine Antwort innerhalb der gesetzlich vorgesehenen Fristen erhalten. Wir haben zudem eine formelle Erinnerung (Ponaglenie) gemäß Art. 37 des Verwaltungsverfahrensgesetzes eingereicht – ebenfalls ohne Reaktion.
Aufgrund der Verzögerungen im Verwaltungsverfahren wird die geplante Verlegung des Steins nicht im Einklang mit der europäischen Praxis der Stolpersteine stattfinden können. Wir waren gezwungen, Einladungen abzusagen, unter anderem an den Autor des Projekts, Gunter Demnig.
Wir möchten klar betonen: Diese Situation ist nicht das Ergebnis unseres Handelns. Das Projekt ist inhaltlich und organisatorisch vollständig vorbereitet – es umfasst historische Dokumentation (u. a. Bestätigung in der Datenbank von Yad Vashem), die Festlegung des Standorts sowie die Bereitschaft zur Umsetzung und zu begleitenden Bildungsmaßnahmen.
Was den Prozess gestoppt hat, ist die Untätigkeit der Verwaltung.
Wir geben nicht auf. Wir möchten diese Erinnerung realisieren – auch wenn sie in einer lokalen, gemeinschaftlichen Form umgesetzt werden muss.
Wir warten auf weitere Entscheidungen seitens der Behörden.
